I thought I would post some of my favorite surf web sites;
surf model; http://www.stormsurfing.com/cgi/display.cgi?a=hi Discussion; http://www.stormsurf.com/page2/forecast/...rent.shtml Local surf report; http://www.orchidlandsurf.com/surfreports/ Pacificwaverider; http://pacificwaverider.com/hawaii/count...cast.shtml surf forecast; http://www.surf-forecast.com/breaks/Waip...st/six_day surfline; http://www.surfline.com/surf-forecasts/b...hilo_8905/ Finally our local NWS resource; http://www.prh.noaa.gov/hnl/pages/marine_graphics.php I believe these are the best currently free resources available and of course, if you want to pay there are many other resources available.

Ino, great links! I wish surfline was free, that site rocks. If you look around on surf-forecast.com, you can find a secondary swell map. Super useful when the more energetic swell is the shorter period one.

First northerly swell, slated to bring harbor surges to Hilo, is set to arrive beginning next Saturday, November 1st. If the GFS holds true, it looks like a whopper.
http://wxweb.meteostar.com/models/ipsm_l..._WINDS_SLP I'll start looking for public domain GFS maps to include on http://harrysserver.com/buoy.html wish we had more buoys out there... |
