While I disagree with you regarding TMT, I wholeheartedly agree with you regarding the tone taken by many posters on Punaweb lately. They really make their side of an argument look bad with the lack of respect they show with their words.

The saucer test is on again for tomorrow, Friday June 5th:

The launch is expected at about 1:30 p.m. ET, with NASA coverage starting online 30 minutes earlier on both UStream and NASA TV.

Snorkle, I have to disagree. Many stupid condescending racist haoles use recliners, hammocks, or even desk chairs. Many do not even own sofas. Frequently, lawn chairs are in use, be they indoors or outside by the trailer hitch.

The parachute failed again. NASA has been having troubles with their parachutes for several years now. They failed on the Constellation before that was canceled before Orion, then Orion had multiple parachute failures during testing. Meanwhile, the Russians have been doing parachute landings on land for over 3 decades.

These tests are being done to find a more effective way to get heavier payloads on to the surface of Mars. The Curiousity rover is the size of a compact car and weighing about the same, that took a huge disposable skycrane to get on the surface, totally operational. For some reason, NASA has completely ruled out retro rockets. This is a non-trivial challenge, and Amerika has been the only ones to land and operate rovers on Mars. Payload and fuel are on a teeter-totter, balancing on a razor blade.
