Hey does anyone have the basic TV package for Time warner - On the site says 17 channels..
On this package do you get the local channels also? When I called them they acted like they didn't want anyone to get just the basic package.. I think she said locals does come with but not sure. Does anyone have the basic TV and internet package
Are the local channels included?
KHON,KBFD, KITV KFVE, KGMB,KHNL-13 ??
Want to change my service but don't want to spend a lot.

Aloha, free spirit. We have "basic", and yes, all the local channels come with it. We actually have more than 17 channels, if you have a digital TV, many more are available (the HDTV search thing on your TV).
It's cheaper (that's why they, perhaps, don't want you to have it...lol), and doesn't have the extra "box" thingy, which has caused problems (for others of late).

I think I get all those channels for free with an outdoor antenna.

Much Mahalo.... OK then we are going to ditch dish network!
We tried an antenna at one time a few years back.. no go on getting any channels. May have been our location or not a strong enough antenna.

We did the same thing a couple years ago when all the TV stations started broadcasting in HD. We got rid of dish and bought a radioshack amplified indoor hd-tv antenna for about $50.00. Picks up almost all the channels in HD quality. We live in lower HPP

Mahalo everyone.. certainly good info and will help in our decision on what to do. The pay per channel major companies are so expensive and a rip off in my book. We may even just do live streaming (Netficks etc) and then antenna for local.
