Aloha Jon: Your link reminded me of my 'beautiful' old bike, my first one - one afternoon I sat next to it and sketched it here:

Looks like about a 1968 Honda CB350? If so, that's what I took my riding test on when I was 16 near Seattle. I borrowed the bike from a pal because my ride was about a 1962 BSA 500 twin, kind of mildly custom, but with a squeeze bulb horn, which may have not been well received at the DMV.

There are way more 'nice' cars on this island than I would have thought too. What's that cruise called that they have every three years on the islands? I think it was last year on BI and I was amazed at how much chrome and metal lives way out here in the middle of the Pacific. Guess we car guys don't want to leave all the fun toys at home.
My personal car is a Puna sled. I like to go stealth - You know your car is ugly when you leave $20 tape to the steering wheel and she's still there when you come back.

There are several billionaires and multimillionaires up around Kohala area. Charles Schwab has a place, the guy that invented Viagra, the founder of Intel, Michael Dell, Paul Allen, guy behind Tetris, mostly vacation homes. There are over 50 private jets that park at Kona airport during holidays and other events. A lot of them have collector cars and do the island drive thing once in awhile. Also, it is 2016 so all the rental car agencies have 2016's. They have several high end sports cars for their premium customers and if it is a convertible, you know it is a tourist. I have had a brand new tricked out Mustang go by me at 80+ on Saddle, car full of tourists.

Bought a 77 MGB on Oahu in 79. Finally rehomed it in mid 90's when living in Atlanta. Fun car.
