‘Castle John’ found guilty by jury
#1
I thought some might find this interesting as I know there has been previous discussion about the castle-style building in Seaview Estates and the previous owner, John Williams. He has now been found guilty of all charges by a jury (burglary, assault and terroristic threatening).

Towards the end of the article, it was reported:

"Before he left the courtroom, Williams whispered he had petitioned the United Nations for asylum."

Good luck with that.

Rather colorful dude. I hope he gets what he deserves.

I still cannot figure out how they got away with the seemingly never ending raffle ticket sales to win the house - and never awarded it to anyone. Pure scam artist.

If the house was in foreclosure then he kicked out squatters? Or who were these people staying in the house?

Before John's divorce he did volunteer repair work in the area one day a week and helped a senior friend of mine who had a hard time getting around. John was an absolute gem to her, and I heard to others as well for many years until his divorce.

On the other hand his wife was evil incarnate who called and cussed out my senior friend wanting to know why John had been helping her for free. Yikes, what a horrid horrid woman and that's an understatement. The grief she caused for so many people is lower Puna is unbelievable.

I jumped in to help my vulnerable senior friend and learned from John the house raffle was the wife's idea and it was driving him crazy. Well apparently he did go crazy with the use of drugs as the wife continually drug him thru court on trumped up false accusations during their divorce. A judge finally figured it out, she was punished and then moved away, thankfully.

It's hard for me to watch what happens to John but apparently he made the choice to ingest way too many mind altering drugs as divorce therapy.

Hopefully he cleans out if he gets a prison sentence and gets his life back in order. Hopefully the brain damage isn't permanent.
