My family and I at there at least twice per month. I'm really beginning to miss that place. We now realize just how Luquins and the Akebono occupied a positive space in Pahoa. Now it just looks like a run down, depressed corridor. Sad.

I'm envisioning the restaurant and bar rebuilt with insurance money and Sal actually consults a decorator to create some nice ambiance including sound abatement. It's set back significantly with outdoor seating and more indoor seating and size than before. And how about happy hour free pupu's and a discount menu similar to Lucy's. Less grease, real sour cream.
