i am in mountain view and last time we had an event lost all my koi. wondering if people are dousing their ponds with baking soda or any other ideas so i don't lose my big guys to this event. today in mountain view the air quality is very bad..[?]

Gosh not sure. My tilapia are still faring well here in HA.

Every time I go to Punalu'u bakery i always visit the little koi pond they have so I can see the fishes.

Tropical fish (salt water) are very sensitive to pH changes and there are testing kits and pH adjustment additives available at any good pet store. I can't think of a reason why they wouldn't work for a freshwater Koi pond.

Yep test the water b4 u ad. I have a bit of knowledge there. Its worse to make drastic changes in ph than it is to slowly bring it back to normal. Fishes have there prefered ph
