Instead of random how about 20 who SAY they know how to work? OK, this isn't helping.
Eigoya, if it's at all feasible to repair your old Shindaiwa I would recommend looking into that before buying a new one. Even the (honest) repair people will tell you that they just aren't as good anymore.

yes have used stihl for years, first chainsaw in the 70s. for real hilly areas i have been using the biggest robi battery one. they are so much lighter to carry around and pretty amazing if you put heavier string in them. they run around 150 at HD. i have gone through 3 but, if you are paying someone 20 an hour, they last longer than paying the worker. (who doesn't work). i have been slowly filling pukas with cinder, slowly leveling everything so i can use a mower in more and more areas, figuring by the time i am 80 i won't want to do this (lol). but then, my mother in law who is 96 is still driving her tractor around and weeding her tomatoes and grapes in oregon. here in the acres we just try to keep the jungle at bay...

Update: rented lawn mower which took care of road front and sides of drive two weeks ago. This weekend hired guy off CL for $25/ hr. No show. Back to HD or Ace for new tool (which I really don't want)! Grrrrr

Stay away from Craigslist. Phonies, scams and unqualified for the most part. Vist Garden Exchange, Paradise Plants, Rosetts for referrals and recommendations.

I've had a young man do some jungle beat back. He has showed up at the scheduled time, or called to let me know he was running late. He is sometimes a "two for" with his buddy that helps. Email me radiopeg@gmail.com and I will share his number. $15.00/hr for each.

Rossets would be a good one to ask. We got a ego battery powere more from Dave on CL hes in HB. Now the wife loves to mow. Its so lite u wont feel the pushing of a mower at all. Mows for 20 min easy ,and recharges in 15 min. Its so lite the dont make a walk behind one. He warrunties his stuff.
Also get the power cord weed whacker. Its super lite, holds lots finer line, cuts pretty good. U can use a 100 ft extension cord and get most ur lot.It wont cut albezia babys tho.
