Beautiful starry mornings. Venus sure has been bright. Chilly too. Definitely extra blanket and jacket wearing weather.

After a few evenings last winter that left us a little more than uncomfortable, we bought one of these indoor propane heaters to prepare for this winter:

I don't know if it's timing in buying, but it was at least 10% less cost buying it at the end of summer. It REALLY throws out the heat.

Big Buddy Heater! They are absolutely the best! Used to have one in my mountain cabin in the Sierra’s in California before I had a fireplace installed. They are the best ever!

They are the best! I have the little buddy with the extension hose kit for the big jug of propane.

When I left AK, I could not bring myself to leave my fleece jackets, vests and pants or wool shirts behind.
They were part of my essential wardrobe for many, many years.
Every "winter" here I end up pulling some out and wearing them for an hour or two until the sun begins warming things up.

This low pressure system that has been influencing us lately has had me wearing them all day on occasion in the last few days.
It is sucking the cooler northern air down and blowing it over us.
I certainly seem to have lost my acclimation to cooler temps, but still don't need supplemental heating.

Voyager: As I walked the dogs this morning, I was telling my husband that I had not had a cold nose since leaving Alaska. And I left nearly everything long or warm to wear there.

Cold nose here for a few mornings now and fingers like icicles with the superhero-like ability to freeze everything I touch.

Has anybody ever tried to use one of these with the Buddy heater?
