Nepalese Tea Plants For Sale - Volcano
#1
I received the email (below) and although the minimum order is larger than the average person might need, I thought a few Punawebbers might wish to go in together and share. You probably will need to contact the seller and find out about best elevation, rainfall, etc, for the variety they’re selling, but it could be a quick way to start growing tea on your property if you’re in the right location:

Due to better germination rates and transplant success rates in the field, we at The Hawaii Medicinal Tea & Herb Cooperative find ourselves in a situation where we have more plants and seeds than we needed for this year.

The Board of Directors has authorized a sale to members and non-members of the cooperative while supplies last.

We have 6700+ plants that are ready to be planted available immediately. The price per plant is $3.00 plus any applicable tax. These can be picked up at Akatsuka Orchid Gardens located at 11-3051 Volcano Road in Volcano. We will be selling these in lots of 250 plants. Discounts available for purchases over 2500 plants in one order.

You can view the plants ready for sale in the attached photo.

The Hawaii Medicinal Tea & Herb Cooperative also has bi-clonal seeds available for immediate sale. These seeds were selected for Hawaii conditions and imported from Nepal. They have been chill stored to retain viability and are from the most recent season of production. We have been seeing germination rates as high as 95% from this seed lot.

These are available in lots of 1,000. There are price discounts for larger orders. There is also a discount of $0.02/seed if they are picked up in person. All prices on the website include shipping. All applicable tax will be collected at time of purchase. Seeds to be shipped can be ordered using the following link: https://akatsukaorchid.com/bi-clonal-tea...-1000-bag/

All buyers must set an appointment to buy plants in person. Please contact us directly by replying to this email or contacting Takeshi Akatsuka directly at takeshi.akatsuka@hawaiitea.coop and we will get back to you.

Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity! Contact us today to reserve your plants and seeds!

Thanks for the info HOTPE

I tried clicking on your link to see the pic of tea plants and it wouldn't open. My computer gave me a choice on how to open it and I chose Google Chrome. Instead it sent me to my email.

Okay never mind. I see the other links now. I did the one at the bottom.
