Household Hazardous Waste Collection Sat. Jun 1/13

Saturday, June 1st from 7:30 - 2:30 is the Household Hazardous Waste collection at the Hilo Trasfer Station
What is Accepted:

some of what is ACCEPTED: Automotive materials, antifreeze, used motor oil, corrosives, all types of batteries, fluorescent lights & ballasts, mercury thermometers, unused or outdated prescription medications (no controlled substances or sharps & needles), compressed gas cylinders, oil-based paints & stains, toxic garden supplies, poisons & miscellaneous household products

Right there? They palletize some of the materials... they have staging areas all about... and I am pretty sure they 'reformulate' the paints & that is what they have at the Keaau transfer....

As for the other stuff, I can only guess it is sent off island for further processing... Anyone else ????
