@Tom, just to accurate, people saying they never saw like that before does NOT mean they saying, nor claiming they rare as YOU are overlaying onto their words.

Kalianna, its funny how you say/describe that one BC yeah, that was a monster for sure and we all did.

More lenticular clouds are forming tonight. The MKWC forecast suggested we might get more over the next two days:

"There is a possibility for the development of lenticular clouds over and to the east of the Big Island summits over the next 2 nights."

At least one formed tonight captured by Gemini North.

I couldn't agree more. Nature has provided us with beauty and we're particularly lucky to be on an island that most people will never experience but provides us with unique views of the earth, the atmosphere, and the universe.

It's a very small community here and suspect if anyone had photos of the clouds they would have posted by now. I did this image search:
