Big Island Pizza.

We've used that coupon a few times...it's a great deal. I love ya Punamom, but being from Buffalo, I have to say it really is the closest I've come to it here. The sauce is pretty good and the cheese is too.

Hey - I love that Thai place across from the State Bldg. Cat and Mella and I met for lunch there...great grinds for cheap. My favorite is the Massaman Curry.

Carrie what's with the new name?
The next time you see Jayne ask her to make you Massaman.....WOW
Or homemade Pizza, yep right on the counter and 10 minutes in the oven. The only pizza we will eat on the BI is homemade.
Maybe I will ask her to hold a PIZZA PARTY, eh?

yeah, the Thai place near it is Ayuthaya ...
We got some Big Island Pizza last week, lots of great flavors. Has three choices of crust -- thin, standard, and thick. The girls behind the counter are relatively new, so I'm not sure if new people are running it. First time I had been in about a year.

Another recommendation, not to exclude the first one but the more good pizza the better -- If you want pizza made by an actual New Yorker, try Hawai'i Pizza Deli in the SacknSave side of Puainako Town Center (turn in from Kahaopea for minimum speed bumps). It's between the auto parts store and a small real estate office (Century 21?) Open til about 8 pm.

I talked to the owner and this is how I know he's a New Yorker trying to turn Hilo on to New York style pizza -- but with all the island variations. Nice people there.

Carrie, I second or third the thumb's up for Ayuthaya!

All the Thai places I've tried in Hilo have yummy food, but not all are so affordable.
Lunch has the best prices! (as with a lot of Asian food restaurants)

What a popular subject or are we just trying to recover...... Theres a new moon soon....
When I was young I had this sweet Italian boyfriend fresh off the boat, he came over to work in his "uncles" pizza parlor, after work we would make a huge yummy pizza together and take it back to his room................................so I LIKE my pizza in a Springsteen kinda way.

I used to cook delectable gourmet meals until the doctor said they were putting my husband in an early grave.....No salt,No sugar,No cholesterol and cooking is NO fun.... or maybe I just don't want to be responsible.. but trying to get him to eat beans is a lost cause.

Carrie I had to go to IHOP just to try your blueberry blintzes!!!! They were yummy!! It was a tough choice cause they had this "cheesecake stuffed french toast" maybe next time.

I also tried the breakfast crabcakes at Kens, someone recommended. they were kinda disappointing..next time I'll just get the eggs Benedict same difference.

The Pizza place by sack N save is Pizza Hawaii and the same owner as the one in Pahoa. My kids used to work there and bring home that pizza all the time.

I've given up trying to get good food here.. again Nings is about as close as it gets, but they raised their prices so...
I could cook whatever I want, but it always tastes better when somebody else cooks it.

LOL Punamom!! I haven't had IHOP blueberry blintzes in years...they were always my favorite! Glad to know they are still on the menu - HEY SCOTT - I got tired of some people concentrating on that stupid number that goes with our names...just decided it was time for a change. Ergo - I'm Chuy's Mom!

I love pizza! Many different kinds... but I tend to stay away from the anchovies, lol

I'll have to try Big Island Pizza sometime, and a pizza party sounds awesome! Who wouldn't love homemade pizza? Smile
