but it's true!! They quote $$$$'s to dig hole, insert pole.... Alpha Electric had the poles for about $250-400 depending on size (I think if I remember correctly) and Delima will put in the holes - and do a couple of gate posts at the same time... about $500-600 for the first hole and $300 after that is what I heard not too long ago.... For the same price as one pole from HELCO - you can get much much more......

I did contact Helco engineering and those are correct " worst case " prices.
They will need to determine if the current poles can be used. They can also install pole " extenders " if the current poles are too short , that price is $12,000. Just kidding, but the way this is going I believe I will do the meter at the road and go underground .
