In the interest of time and better things to do, I could offer the essence of what I learned at the last seminar here in Hilo. Cover up your skin, protect your eyes and wear a respirator (the real deal not a cheesy paper job). Rubber boots and rubber gloves. Keep it all on untill you are fineshed and away from the chemicals. It isn't rocket science mostly common sense. Don't breathe, swallow it or get it in your eyes; if, after all efforts the chemical gets on your skin rinse it off. Next, spray the base of trees in the daytime and try to hit the noisy buggahs up in the branches and leaves at night (good tip: if night spraying, no matter how goofy you look wear a shower cap to protect your head!). There, coqui killing 101 and no textbook required. Also, don't be stingy, saturate well and dream on if you think one time will do the trick. If you are still of the mindset that they sound "cute" or whatever, go to Lava tree after dark and hang out for an hour or two. Notice how ALL YOU HEAR are those darn noisy monsters...no crickets, no wind in the leaave, no anything but the coquis. Sad not to hear any other sounds or better yet the quiet of the night. I digress and hope this may be of some help to someone. Aloha all pj
