John posted the recipies but got a few things wrong. Here they are with lots of love......
FRUIT PIZZA
Ingredients
Pillsbury Crescent rolls (in can)
2-3 cans for a 12”-14” pizza pan
3-4 cans for a 14”-16” pan
Jello No Bake Cheesecake Mix
1 box for a 12”-14” pizza pan
2 boxes for a 14”-16” pan
Assorted fruits and berries
I use strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, mandarin oranges and kiwis –
but you can certainly use whatever you like
Small jar of apricot preserves
Slivered almonds
Method
Unroll crescent rolls and form pizza crust in pan by sealing up the
perforations in the dough with your fingers.
Sprinkle with sugar and prick with a fork all over, so it doesn’t puff up.
Bake in a 350-degree oven until golden brown, maybe 8-10 minutes.
COOL COMPLETELY
Make the cheesecake filling according to the package directions.
Spread over the top of the cooled crust.
Arrange the fruit on top of the filling.
Melt 2-3 tablespoons of apricot preserves in the microwave and, with a
pastry brush, glaze the top of your pizza.
Finish by sprinkling slivered almonds around.
It’s very easy to make and it looks like a million. So glad you all enjoyed it.
And, don’t forget, you can make this different each time by changing your fruits and glaze – i.e. use all strawberries with straberry jelly glaze, or use pineapple with organge marmalade glaze, with shredded coconut and chopped macadamia nuts sprinkled on top.
Have fun with it..........
Maui Onion Pie
Ingredients
4 medium Maui onions, thinly sliced
1 stick of butter
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup of sour cream
¼ teaspoon of salt
½ tsp of black pepper
Dash of Tabasco sauce
Method
Pre-heat the oven to 450 degrees.
Saute the onions in the butter and combine with all other ingredients.
Pour into a 9” unbaked pie shell and sprinkle liberally with grated
parmesan cheese.
Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes.
Lower the oven to 325 degrees and bake for another 20-25 minutes.
Can be served warm or cold.
