Hawaii to become part of Japan or China?

The guy is crazy. The move is in the opposite direction -- toward globalization and very large international governing bodies that will merge nations. We already have the EU. SE Asia is coming together under various economic umbrellas. South America is holding regional talks about their economic development. There is talk of a north american alliance.

I doubt if we'll see huge changes in my lifetime. If we do, I would bet on a merger of the US and Canada, sans Quebec.

With the current political/economic trends i suspect that we will have large corporations instead of countries. The USA will become Wallmart or a large military Corporation,(OH we're already that!). Maybe Hawaii will become Matson Inc.

There is time in the cosmos for Green, hpp4me and the Russian to be right. To bet on the status quo is always a losing bet in a dynamic universe.
