Where In Puna...

I think I know where the beach is. I don't think it's white sand though. We had hiked this trail (shh...). Are you talking about the greyish sand beach right near the Shipman Estate (Ha'ena Beach)?

yes aka; Shipmans beach, shipmans lagoon, kaloli beach, kaloli point beach,Haena beach.since its getting so crowded on the weekends everybody knows about it.I would'nt even take my dogs there anymore. The white sand/grey sand all depends on what the surf brings in.There's no road access unless you are or know a shipman. It would be so great if they made it a county park instead of a resort area and I would not mind sharing it, but road access would be fab! much better than toting toddlers on a hour hike.
But at least we still have all the other secret places, right John? LOL .I sure won't be talking about those! At least until they have public meetings on them anyway.lol

Someone said between roads 3-6 in HPP.
What is it like on those roads that are better than others, is it price?
Can I ask why narrow it to just those roads?
Is it the neighbors, out of tsunami zone?

Thank you,
Lucy

In general, there's really nice places built from about 10th down. Some areas in there have ocean views. You'd definitely be safe from tsunamis.

Hey Lucy,
roads 3-6 are out of the tusnami zone now but when they revise it they will be in it.
They are in a microclimate aka bannana belt, blue hole, with nice drier coastal weather.
Some have views some do not.
on those streets and below the co. requires a septic system (higher costs than cesspool).I've seen lots in this area priced high and low so look around and most are overpriced.
On another note if u buy on 2nd st or below its kind of an "exclusive" part of the subdivision watch Kaloli point become its own little micro world.(now prices are still comparable to other lots in the sub.)
some parts of 2nd street are on a hill and have a wonderful view so u may be out of the T-zone because its higher up.For the price this is where I would look.
