Safety
#1
Hi, and thank all of you for your replies. I should have been more specific like Hawaiian paradise park, Hawaiian beaches, Nanowale estates or Orchardland estates and so forth on that side of the Island. Looking for mostly sunny weather and safety as in gangs living in the area or alot of theft and also have two daughters in there twenties comming with me. Thanks again

Each of these subdivisions are very large (Hawaiian Paradise Park is almost 9,000 acres, and over 16 square miles (from shore to over 4 miles from shore), Beaches is actually 4 separate subdivisions, each only a couple of streets wide by almost 5 miles long, and has no beach.

We lived in one corner of HPP, and had a great time in a great little neighborhood, HOWEVER heard tales of theft just a few streets away....

Hi, thanks for the info, I was wondering if living on Oahu in Waianae is a good place. I understand it is mostly locals that live ther.

I would say no, don't live in Waianae. I know someone who does and he doesn't like it. Granted he is a relative newcomer who frankly doesn't get along well with those outside his cultural background but I have also heard the same from local people who grew up here and from people who live in Waianae but in a rather remote part of it. Waianae is economically and educationally disadvantaged and while I have been there many times without trouble, still, I have heard from people whose opinions I value that there are better choices out there.

HI, thanks for all of your info, it is good to know. Also does any one know if the weather is sunny in the hawaiian beaches sub division and I am not sure if someone said it was a good place to live or not. Thanks.
