Really Bad Accident on Hwy Today

I was headed into Hilo about noonish today and gosh there was a really bad wreck being cleaned up. Looked like a huge flatbed lost it's load and two vehicles looked like head-on. Hope everyone is okay.

We were seconds from being in it. Saw dust,smoke,parts flying everywhere. We thought the truck pulled out in front of the van, but not sure. Everyone seemed to be relatively OK.

We were returning from Hilo and passed by this scene. Papayas everywhere on the road....with the papaya flatbed truck off into the bushes. The firemen were in the process of cutting the driver out of the van. We were really worried for the driver of the van. But, we have a scanner in our car, and about ten minutes later we heard the ambulance call into the hospital saying that the driver had multiple lacerations....but was alert, etc. We are thinking that he is going to be OK... Thank God.
