The "normal" Dish here is 24", so even the 30" is a good upgrade.

This one has receivers etc. I intend to buy a receiver and turn in these leased units once we move, that way, I'll own the additional system that stays at the shed.

Yes, you can install your own - I did. I found it more a challenge to find the satellite, but I finally did.

Thanks David M. for posting those links, lots of changes available now even the the standard 811 HD receiver now comes equipped with digital optical audio output, not when we had it. Is HDTV available on the Island ?

I use a little intercom setup for adjusting my Dish one unit with me one at the speaker/signal tone. Of course they sell cheap little satellite finders like this one for cheap money. you folks might find it helpful if you only have one satellite available in the sky, we have 3 now in Maine.

Oceanic and DirectTV offer 13 HD channels. KITV is the only local channel offered in HD and that by Oceanic only. Dish does not offer HD in Hawaii.
