Need a book on Hawaiian figurines
#1
My wife has taken up collecting porcelain or ceramic figurines and dolls of Hawaii. She loves these things and has collected a pile of them based largely on their aesthetic value. I've looked on Amazon.com and found just one book (Hula Dancers & Tiki Gods, by Chris Pfouts) that clearly includes some description of these figurines, providing some history and a relative value. The book is okay, but it isn't complete by any stretch. Does anyone have any other suggestions for a better understanding of Hawaiian collectible figurines?

You might call Basically Books, not today but later and ask them for suggestions. They have a fine collection of Hawaiian cultural treasures many many books. Depending on where you live the library could help and even borrow from a library far away if it isn't available locally.
