Quality, fair priced fencing?

As much as I hate to do it, the time has come for us to put up some fencing so our chickens stay alive for once (mutters about feral dogs).

A couple questions:

1. If I'm in deep soil and want to keep dogs out, what sort of fencing material should I be looking at?

2. Can anyone recommend a good, fair priced fencing company?

I second JonP's recommendation. Kawika built a hogwire farm-style fence for us over four years ago through very rough terrain, and it is still rock solid today. His work ethic is excellent, and he finished the work on time and at a very good price.
