Yes TJ, moab is the mtb mecca. I've been riding there since rigid frames were the norm. Went back with my full suspension bike years later and thought I would never leave. The window for good riding weather can be rather short as the daytime temps often reach triple digits in the summer months, spring and late fall are best for a comfortable riding experience. I did a couple morning rides in mid July once, but I don't recommend staying on the trail past 9:30-10:00am(too damn hot!) Amazing mtb destination, my # 1 trail recommendation would be "Tusher Canyon", true backcountry riding. Anazazi Indian ruins, petroglyphs and world class slickrock riding can be found amongst the mesas and spires. Just bring your own beer...
