That's a great website canh Le. Do you know of any nurseries or individuals on the BI who have breadfruit varieties for sale? I would like to plant a few trees on my next visit. Rozette's didn't have any when I was there last. The breadfruit institute web says they are distributing breadfruits trees via strategic partnerships.

Aloha Susan,
You can contact the breadfruits institute about where to get them. I saw them at the makuu farmer market sometimes. You can also post on this site for breadfruit starter. Also a post on http://honolulu.craigslist.org/big/ might get some response. Keep your eyes open when you drive around for breadfruit trees. My breadfruit tree in HPP was from a house on orchid land just for the asking. canh Le

Best results from root suckers. We've taken up several with a piece of the root they grew from and gotten them going in pots.
Vendors at Makuu Market often have ulu plants.

Susan,I got a big Samoan breadfruit (almost 6 feet) from Arman at Makuu . He has a professional quality stuff and will have breadfruit to-morrow.His spot is at the corner where you turn to exit.
