I was checking out our VRBO competition (er, I mean the other fine vacation rentals that serve a common customer base with us...) and noticed that that listing and one other in Keaau looked like they'd been hacked...the property descriptions were clearly not written by the property owners (unless they had some serious self-hate issues...). I reported it to VRBO and received a note back that said "Thank you for notifying us of this issue. We are working with this member to resolve the issues with their VRBO.com account. Due to our privacy policy we are not allowed to discuss an individuals account, however I can tell you that there has been no breach of the VRBO.com website or platform."

One thing you could do is contact Mark at markron@earthlink.net. He is in charge of a nice group of houses on the Big Island-many in Keaau and HPP. He rents our place out in HPP among others. He does run many of the adds in VRBO, but you would be dealing with him and he does a great job. He has a great cleaning crew and handy man that he uses. Here is the website showing homes in that area from $65/night plus a cleaning fee.

My place is on these two pages.We just came back yesterday (woe is me--I never want to leave there).

I'm not pushing my place here, but I will vouch for Mark. He takes good care of renters. He is thourough and honest.
