The local name for Anaehoomalu Bay is A Bay I believe.

One of the best beach/snorkle spots west side is Crescent beach or dog beach. South side of Honokahau Harbor. Sand entry and good fish life for snorkling. A rare combo. A pretty good SCUBA shore dive too. Surf can be a problem there. Warnings are high the next week or so, so watch that. There is a short walk across the boulders to the beach. This is the only off-leash dog beach that I know of on island too.
