[EightFingers]

....is alive and well on the Big Island. I was amazed at all the people who have invited us over for dinner (and lunch) and talk story. Many people were interested about our upcoming move to Hawaii and gave us lots of good advice as well as lots of other interesting conversation. We would go walking and people recongnized us as "not being from around here", would greet us and we'd talk story. This short greeting would sometimes last a half hour!
What is amazing is people were friendly to us even AFTER we told them we are moving to Hawaii. []
Lot more people I wished we could visit with but we ran out of time!
