What are the restrictions on fires?

Does anybody know the restrictions on fires in Puna? Are permits required? For example:

Cooking fires
Contained garbage fires (ie "burn barrel")
Uncontained fires (yard debris)

If you are planning to cook that way call Fire Dep. and informed them.
They will ask you for approx. time frame,that's all.Worked for us.

Imu's are ok - just call
