Home Inspector recommendation

I'm in the process of making an offer on an old single family home on the East side. I would need a home inspection. Any recommendations?

We used Jeff Lux with "HouseMaster" last Spring when purchasing a home in Leilani. Although the home was well built and new, Jeff located some potential trouble areas that if not dealt with could have led to problems in the future. As a result of Jeff's inspection, we were able have the seller's fix the problems as part of our purchase agreement. Money very well spent! You can reach Jeff, if you wish, at 808.982.6506. Oops, I meant to say single wall construction instead of single family. I don't know if that makes a difference in which inspector to choose.

I recommend Chuck Cartwright from Big Island Inspection Services. He is an ASHI inspector (there are only two on the island) and we call him the "Deal Killer" but he sure makes me sleep well. 960-6069.

Thanks, John. Chuck Cartwright will probably kill this deal since the house is so old. I do want to know if it is even livable as is and what needs to be fixed.
