My fridge has died and I came home to a smelly mess this evening. Anyone know if the transfer stations (i.e., Keaau or Pahoa) are open on Monday? I know they close on Christmas day but am not sure if that also means Monday in this case, as that's the official holiday this year.
I have a bunch of things I was planning to do on Monday but if I know I can take some mess to a transfer station It'd really help me out.
Hope everyone had a great Christmas and thanks in advance for any help!

Tom,
I conclude from this that Keaau Transfer station is open Dec 26th:

I'm fairly certain I'd heard that the transfer stations are only closed Christmas day and New Year's Day.

Thanks, rbakker, those links do imply they're open on Monday. I found the latter site but hadn't found the first one you posted. Thanks for that, much appreciated!
Hopefully this won't become a hazmat problem by tomorrow...

Just wanted to say an additional thank you to Jon and KathyH. I have used the Pahoa transfer station in the past to drop off old appliances but heard they closed during the work there a little while ago and didn't know if they were accepting appliances again. Good to know they are! And it turns out the fridge is still alive although it needed a little work. Too late to save what was in there but fortunately there wasn't too much stuff although you wouldn't have known that from the smell!
Thanks again, everyone.
