begging State for money (again, still)

At this point I would be willing to see property taxes double so this island can take care of its own needs. This whole "not Oahu so too bad" thing is getting really old.

Everyone else tolerates the abuse from County and State, so obviously I'm the one with the "problem".

I would never say I tolerate it. Just accept it. Like I accept Jehovah's Witness people scratching at my gate like hungry zombies.

Bible thumpers push their agenda.. government is corrupt.. it's a fact of life.

In other news: SCIENTIST'S PROVE WATER IS WET. film at eleven.

DISCLAIMER: alaskan66 in no way means to offend Jehovah's Witness followers or any other religions. My opinions are strictly my own.. so therefore don't matter.

Just accept it.

Accept that we're taxed by State, who then "can't afford" to provide services?

Just don't point it out, because the "attitude problem" is worse?

It seems simple to me: I pay taxes, so I want services. If I have to pay for my own services, then they can stop collecting the taxes. So unreasonable.

I pay taxes, so I want services.

Imagine the electric company sending you a bill... but no electricity.
The phone company charges you for service... without providing service.
What do you do when you check your grocery store receipt and find out they charged for 5 items that aren't in your bag?

Here's a solution:
"Get a smaller glass bag maybe??"

You could never convince a monkey to give you a banana by promising him limitless bananas after death in monkey heaven.

Imagine the electric company sending you a bill... but no electricity.

Then imagine they make lame excuses like "well, the wiring inside your house is 'private'..."
