As has been pointed out many times already, depleted uranium is less radioactive than bananas.
Weak radiation is a fact of life.

The radiation is not the problem, it's the toxicity, similar to lead. That said, they don't use DU at Pohakuloa. The only DU there is from the dummy nuclear bombs, and they're out in the remote part of the impact zone where they're not going anywhere.
