Apparently, her counsel decided it was not worth the $$$ to file with the Court to call for a recount. Waited to see if she would file for recount due to problems in primary, today being the deadline (Friday was a holiday).
The State's report, combined with the County Clerk's report, would not have enough evidence for the court to rule in her (Inouye) favor.
Congratulations to Malama Solomon!
Sorry, this is not Puna news, but affects us in the overall election process. Still, the count was so close, it makes one wonder....
