Concrete Slab 24'x30'?
#1
Just wondering what a 24'x30' slab would be running me? Looking to put up a 24'x30' steel AG garage this spring. I will also have a small apron at the opening of the main door.

I've used fiber 5000psi in the past, but what's the norm on the Island? Anyone want to shoot me some numbers? Will need help putting the unit together also. I prefer to have someone do the slab. I want to fly in and start erecting the building and not have to worry about permit or messing with the mud. I want to open my container and start working.
Thanks,
Steve

PS, will also need concrete pads done for the house post pads. Once, we get the AG garage all done.

This thread has the prices we paid in July for 3,000psi fiber (over 1,400sqft):

IMHO fiber is useless. 16"x16" grid w/#3 rebar

Thanks, Carey for the link and info. Helps out allot.

DanielP, thanks for the help also. That's why I posted and to see what others had to say. In Florida, we use fiber allot. I did mind using rebar at all. If it's going to hold up better, then that's fine. So, I'm guessing your just laying the #3 in your 16" grids and using stone mix?

Thanks,
Steve

5 or 6 sack mix. Generally no addatives unless pour conditions warrant; retardant or accelerator. Plasticiser if a very dry pour is required. Call Seaside Bob.
