Inter-Island travel tips??
#1
I'll be travelling between O‘ahu & the Big Island monthly for the foreseeable future. Any tips on cheap flights, deals, best times to travel/book. Your input welcomed!

Really early morning and mid-day flights are cheapest !!

Book early !!

I've been using the 24-flight package at Tedd's link and it works pretty well. It works out to $75/flight, which is cheaper than you can ever buy a flight unless there's a special, and when they're getting full the price starts to go up a lot. The only thing is that they're only good for a year, so if time runs out before you use them all you lose some money. Still, given that ticket prices are averaging around $90-100, you can drop quite a few and still end up coming out ahead or breaking even. You do have to book three days in advance though (the other plans have different restrictions).

I usually do a google search for interisland airlines, then make sure they even fly here, then do a search and compare prices. I was able to save almost 1/2 the cost of the ticket last time, but I had to leave from Kona.
