Thats all well and good but we tried since about 7:15 Am to get on their website and were told "too much traffic"... the sale started at 7 AM...... never got through still yet.... figured by 11 Am when we gave up that the 1000 tix where gone

We tried also since 7am (tried all day ...and still trying)....and can't get in. There is something fishy about this sale. Both Hawaiian And Aloha refused to match it.

I called the 1 800 number around 10 am after being unable to get on, and was told by a rep that they took the site down for repair because it was pricing incorrectly. Tickets that were supposed to be $1 were pricing at $200. She told me to keep checking back that it would be back up when it was fixed. I was finally able to get on around 3 pm, but all I could find was a few trips to Honolulu for $1.00, I almost booked it for the heck but couldn't find any return trips. Unlike their previous sale where I scored 3 roundtrips at $9.00, this sale seemed a little suspicious. I have a hard time beleiving that there were indeed 1000 tix made available.

Actually, what I wonder is what the prices will be when we are down to just two interisland airlines again. They did this cheap ticket war when Mahalo airlines were around, then when we were down to two airlines after they left, then the ticket prices were around $80 to $100 each way.

That was also when they instigated the each leg pricing instead of each way pricing, too. It used to be you could fly to Kauai or Maui for about the same price as to Honolulu. Then they decided you had to buy a ticket to Honolulu, then a separate ticket to Maui or Kauai.

May as well get the tickets while you can, once the air fare wars kill one of them off the remaining airlines will up the ticket prices to what they were before.
