Recommend anyone good at roof repair?
#1
With all the rain (it was scary this afternoon getting so flooded in only 30 minutes!) my roof is leaking in multiple spots.

It is an old roof and the leaks are where the roof of the car port/lanai meet the roof of the house. Right now I can only afford patches, not replacing the entire roof.

I'm cringing at the thought of more rain this weekend. If I can find someone tomorrow that would be great.
Thanks for suggestions.

Blue tarps and lath boards. Roofing is not hard if you just take your time and are physicaly capeable too. Read and follow the instructions on the packages.[Smile]

I spent summer once taking off about a square (100 sq ft) at a time, and roofing the same every day or two. After work and weekends, Big house too 2500+sq ft. Had help on quite a few days too. I still have those friends. Feeding them helped.

Take your time and it will work out fine for you.

I am assuming you have a shingle roof?[:p]

I had an old beater car and loaded all the shingles in the trunk and backseat and took them to a dumpster in town for disposal.

I saved $7500 over what a contractor wanted ($10,000) and used 25 year shingles too.[Wink]

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it.

Can you get up there yourself? Maybe all it needs is a couple of tubes of roofing tar to seal the joints.
