leather repair

I need to have some buckles added to the straps on a leather computer bag. Is there a real old school shoe repair place on this side of the Island, or even Waimea?

Mahalo for any help, and please, please, please, if you can't answer my question don't send this post off onto some random tangent about something else entirely.

For what its worth, a few years ago my wife had the buckles fixed on a leather purse just perfectly at a custom car interior place that made custom leather car interiors.

I don't know if any of those are here in Hilo, or the Big Island - but just food for thought.

I will also say - a new purse would have been cheaper!
