well we're here (hpp)getting settled in...would like to meet some of you,this web has been a big help in the move. ok to come to puna party??? have??? about health care,hmsa or kaiser(now have blue cross)my work offers both at same price.can we find a dr. on hmsa? if we need to see a specialist which covers best? ok for the??? i'm Sharon and hubby is Wayne ,living on 11 th in hpp. hope to meet some of you soon ,thanks for the help....sharon

Sharon,

Have you called Blue Cross to find out if they have preferred providers here? If they do and you like BC you may want to just call them and ask them to find you a doc who will take new patients.

I know that some with HMSA have had problems finding docs that take new patients. We kept our California insurer (United Healthcare) and I just put it on them to find me a doc. Seems to have worked.

Best of luck. The medical stuff can try your patience at times.
