Aluminum Siding & Metal Roofing (costs?)

Hi guys, I'm trying to use the Home Depot and Lowes website searches but they again are pretty much useless. Was wondering if anyone knew

the costs either per sq. ft. or by length for some aluminum or galvanized siding. Also hoping someone might know the costs for some metal roofing.

Wanting to get something with some color on it, green, red, brown, something besides uncolored galvanized that is suitable for water

catchment. If Home Depot is not the place to get this product who do you recommend?

Aloha Metal Roofing in Shipman. It's about the same price as HPM (~$4.50/ft). They have a quicker turnaround time than HPM, and can possibly get your order the same day or within a day or two.

Typically the $4/lf is 38" wide, so approximately $1.50/sf.

White roofing means a slightly cooler house.

Have heard good with both Aloha & HPM at Shipman (they are only a couple of blocks apart)

I do know that all of the HPM steel roofing stock has a reflective coating & can qualify for an Energy Star tax incentive, I think Aloha may also, but that is one other thing to check, as there could be a tax advantage for using one over another....

There are some downsides to metal siding, steel or aluminum. Thermal expansion tends to make them creep and pop. Sun comes up, sun goes down. Hardi makes some nice fiber cement lap siding.

That would be an option as well Rob thanks for suggesting it. I just want something I can install and never have to deal with it again. I'll check into the cement fiber boards.
