Good one -- it's not just HGTV, nor is it limited to Hawaii.

Television, anyone?

You want my take on this pathetic excuse for "entertainment?"

The very idea of speculative investment is disagreeable, for reasons already mentioned, as well as to Hawaiian sensibilities.
The land cannot belong to any person as it is we who belong to the land, and to the land we shall return when we pass from this existence.

As a Rapa Nui native once said, "When the land is sold what happens to the sky?"

"Life is labor, and all that is good in life comes from that labor..."
"Life is labor, and all that is good in life comes from that labor..."

Me and my wife have been working with Hawaii Life and the casting directors. Hey if they want to pay for us to fly there while we look at homes, why not ? I dont mind being on television, I think our story is a good one Smile

@gypsy69: I know Desi, bought several properties with her. The Desi in the show was not the Desi we know. She had to stick to a script - woulda been a lot more interesting and fun show is she was allowed to wing it.

The Whale House was not flipped.
It was bought from owner who had renters in it.
Buyer repaired and refurbished and kept it as a vacation rental.
