Road Conditions along Hamakua Coast Today??

We are considering heading to Hilo today from Waimea but aren't sure how the roads are. I know Saddle Road is closed. Anyone have updates on this?

This is he latest report I received from Hawaii County :

A message from COUNTY OF HAWAII
The National Weather Service has cancelled the Flash Flood Warning for Hawaii Island. The heavy rainfall system has moved off shore and conditions are improving. Saddle Road has been opened to all traffic however motorists are advised that traffic is being detoured through the old section of Saddle Road on the West or Waimea side due to debris and hazardous conditions on the new Saddle Road section from the 41 mile mark to Highway 190.
