Website for rain charting?
#11
I have always found the best and most accurate info is to have your own "weather station" on your property. This can be as simple as a rain gauge....or weather velocity, min/max temp gauge etc. A one mile difference and an elevation change can mean a lot. Most people are not into such record keeping but I have always enjoyed charting my own property .....and also dates that certain plants or trees , flower, or produce fruit. Within a few short years a new understanding about your micro climate is invaluable and much more accurate. enjoy.....

"What was your year 2013 total rainfall amount, what area?"

This from 40th in Orchidland (elev. 650') - backyard rain gauge. I agree with River about tracking your own environment, plus I like the daily charting as well.

2013- 142"
2012- 130"
2011- 148"

Middle-ish Leilani: Dec total 23.13
2013 = 119.13
2012 = 116.92
2011 = 106.14
2010 = 63.07
2009 = 133.13
It's the anomalies such as 2010 that make local charting interesting.
