Interesting to note that there's been an overall increase in activity both at Kilauea crater as well as at Pu'u'o'o on the east rift zone.

Wow! I wish they could lead tours to the edge of the lava lake. I understanding from talking to people at the NP that the issue is there is too much concentrated gas, so hazmat-type suits are necessary. But I'd put on a crazy suit if I could look down at the lava lake!
