Electricity problems??

We have had our Electricity turn off 4 times in the last 2 days. Last night it was in the early morning hours so no hot showers for the kids before school. Has anyone heard WHY we here in lower puna have been experiencing these rolling blackouts?. Has this been a state problem or just Puna's?.

Noticed the lights flickering a lot and the UPS clicking on and off. Not outage down in beaches but... I was kinda waiting for it to happen?

Whatever it is, hope they figure it out soon. Sure glad I have a UPS. We have gas hotwater / stove. Maybe you should get one for backup? Only 100 bucks off amazon tank-less. Probably would save you a ton of cash on your electric bill.

Power went out in lower HPP sometime in the early morning hours. Our microwave and range clocks were both blinking

UPS= uninterruptible power supply usually hooked up to computers to provide backup power usually for only a few minutes Had to look it up

Translation: the highest electricity rate = highest profits for HELCO, instead of "the best grid money can buy".
