Someone just sent me a link to Fern Acres' listing on Wikipedia, and I found Hawaiian Acres, too. It's really just census data, but could be edited to add other pertinent information to make the pages useful to potential residents.
check the list of "CDPs" at the bottom of the page for your area.

In my opinion, Wikipedia is not a very definitive source, as anyone can edit articles to reflect their own bias.
Not that the official HA site is any better...

I like Wikipedia for the fact that users can edit (or correct) content. Better that than being spoon fed only what someone wants you to know. I have always found Wikipedia pretty reliable.

The "official" HA site includes an archive of newsletters dating back to 1962.
Common theme: "getting nothing from County for our property tax dollars."

On a positive note for Wikipedia, anyone can edit it to make it better, so it cuts both ways. Also their editorial controls have gotten much stronger in the past couple of years. An interesting thing to note about any of the major Puna subdivisions, however, is the rate of population growth. It's 10% annual for most of them compared to 2.2% average for the county. Basically almost all of the population growth is happening in the big Puna subdivisions.
