My budget is 1200-1600 monthly, I could pay all up front if it helps the cost.

I also have a small dog who is part of my family that will be arriving a few weeks after me and my wife. He is 15lbs, house and crate trained and does not bark. I prefer he be able to be outside his crate when I am not home, but if you are concerned with your rental, he is crate trained and could be in his crate when I am not home.

+1 on VBRO.com We lived in a vacation rental for 6 months to settle in. The + side is that all utilities were paid. The dog is going to be a major issue however. We looks for a few months just to find a place that would take a house cat and we had to put an extra 1200 deposit down.
