Canhle,
I own a 2005 Jeep liberty diesel. Its white and has mud tires and a winch bumper, so you can spot me. My other car is a 1982 isuzu pup diesel. We also have several dodge ram diesel pickups. I love diesel engines, the way they sound and run. Diesels are comparable to gas in terms of maintenance, only its a trade off. You dont have to worry about spark plugs and all that goes with them, but you do have to change the fuel filter/water seperator and you will need more motor oil each change. As far as parts, the jeep might be higher because it is an italian motor, but Diesel engines last longer than gas. Your newer engines are made to go 400,000. miles before you overhaul. I personally prefer older engines, due to their lack of computer controled parts, or in other words, I can fix them myself. Infact, if anyone knows of a 94-97 dodge ram diesel 4x4 regular cab for sale let me know.
