Naked Juice

The reason I am posting here even though it is national - simple reason.

I took our recycling in to Keaau last week (we had lots of visitors and it was really full!) and in-between the glass bottles was lots of naked juice cans.

The visitors love that stuff right up to the point where I showed them how to use the thingy i bought from Island Naturals in Pahoato plug the coconuts and they could get the coconut water straight from a coconut right from my trees.

What thingy is it that you use to plug into coconuts?
What is it called? Where is it in Island Natch? Will they know what I am looking for?

Coconut tap/corer, like "Cocotap" (just one of the many different one) are available at many of the natural food stores, I think "Island Naturals" in Hilo & Pahoa have a couple of different types to choose from.

Island Naturals in Pahoa had the one we bought right at the register. When I asked the cashier about it, she just reached up and got it and handed it to me.

Thanks for the tip. They were out of stock in Pahoa, but the Hilo store has the coconut openers for $19.95. I got one.

Be careful with that CocoDrill - Several instances of the handle snapping and people impaling their hands!
